Shuting "Ting" Chen is a former San Francisco immigration judge and immigration law expert who presided over thousands of hearings and adjudicated hundreds of asylum claims. Before her 2022 appointment, she spent over a decade representing asylum-seekers, earned California State Bar certification as a specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law, and served as a Staff Attorney at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
